Low Light Newborn Photography Session

Are you worried your home is too dark for a newborn session? Don't be I really enjoy the challenge of working in low light homes that are a bit darker and don't have a lot of light during a newborn photography session. It allows for a unique opportunity to create intimate and moody images that can beautifully capture the essence of those early moments. Here are a few reasons why I appreciate this style:

  • Soft, Natural Light: Darker environments often mean softer, diffused light, which can enhance the tenderness of newborn portraits.

  • Emphasis on Emotion: The low-light setting can draw more attention to the emotions and connections between family members.

  • Creative Use of Shadows: Shadows can add depth and drama to the images, creating a more artistic feel.

  • Unique Aesthetic: Working in low light provides a distinct look that sets the images apart from traditional bright and airy styles.
